TVS Motor Company has launched the new Apache RTR 160 4V 2025 in India. The new model now comes with even more stylish, advanced features and powerful performance. TVS has given it a number of cosmetic and technological updates, which puts it directly against the likes of the Pulsar N Series and the Yamaha R15 V4.
New design and styling
The biggest change in the new model is its front headlamp setup. It now largely mirrors the Aprilia RS 457 and the Pulsar N250. New LED DRLs, projector headlights, and sporty indicators give the bike a premium look.
The rear taillamp design has been kept the same as before, but the indicator and number plate holder have been given a new touch. Apart from this, the bike has 7 color options, so every rider can choose the variant of his choice.
Update suspension and braking.
This time, TVS has given Upside Down (USD) forks in the front, which has greatly improved the riding stability of the Apache RTR 160 4V. At the rear, there is a monoshock suspension, which gives a more sporty look in red color.
Braking duties are handled by a 276 mm petal disc up front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. Both single-channel and dual-channel ABS options are available.
Tyre and Alloy Design
The new Apache RTR 160 4V comes with 90/90-17 front tires and 130/70 R17 radial tyres at the rear. The rear radial tyre gives more confidence in cornering and high-speed riding. The design of the alloy wheels has also been made a little sharper and more modern than before.
Engine and Performance
The Apache RTR 160 4V is powered by a 159.7 cc, OBD2-B, and E20 fuel-compatible engine. The engine comes with oil-cooled, 4-valve, and FI technology.
It has three modes of operation:
- The sports mode: 17.55 PS power and 14.73 Nm torque
- Urban and Rain modes: 15.64 PS of power and 14.14 Nm of torque
- The top speed of the Apache RTR 160 4V is around 135-138 km/h, and the mileage can easily go up to 40-45 km/l.
New TFT screen and tech features
The biggest highlight of this bike is its 5-inch color TFT display, which is directly derived from the RTR 310. It comes with essential features like turn-by-turn navigation with Bluetooth connectivity, call and message alerts, and even crash alerts. The list of features doesn’t end here. The Apache RTR 160 4V also comes with features like traction control, a gear position indicator, a lap timer, average speed, and a trip meter, making it even more premium. Yeah, there’s a little bit of… It doesn’t yet have a charging port and hazard lights, which can be a little jarring on long journeys.
Flexibility and practicality
Now let’s talk about the handling and comfort of the bike. It weighs only 146 kg in the top variant, which makes it very light and easy to control. In fact, the joy of riding doubles. The capacity of the fuel tank is 12 liters, which does not give shocks even during long rides.
The seat now comes in a dual-tone design, which instantly gives it a premium look. And the little things that make the ride more comfortable—the clutch and brake levers are 3-step adjustable, meaning you can easily set them up as per your convenience.
Price and Variants
The new Apache RTR 160 4V has been launched in several variants. This includes drum brakes and single-disc and dual-disc ABS variants.
The new pricing starts at around ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), and the top variant goes up to ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
Conclusion: What should you buy?
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V 2025 is no longer just a 160cc bike. It now features a perfect fusion of style, tech, and performance. Its sporty looks, color TFT display, USD forks, and smart riding modes make it stand out in its segment. If you want a bike that is powerful in appearance, updated in features, and reliable in riding, then this bike is made for you.
