Good news for Indian bike lovers. After a long wait, Yamaha is finally going to launch its retro-style motorcycle, the XSR 155, in India. There were discussions about this bike for a long time, and now the company has confirmed its launch date. The Yamaha XSR 155 will be launched in the market on 11 November 2025.
Price & Variants
The price is the biggest highlight of this bike. GST tax has now come down from 28% to 18%, which will benefit the customers directly. The ex-showroom price of the Yamaha XSR 155 is expected to be around ₹ 1.60 lakh to ₹ 1.70 lakh. At the same time, its on-road price will be below ₹ 2 lakh, which will compete with bikes like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Classic 350, and TVS Ronin.
Exterior Design
Talking about the design, the Yamaha XSR 155 will be presented with a classic retro look. The round-shaped headlight, fully digital instrument console, and teardrop-shaped muscular fuel tank make it very attractive. LED indicators and new grab rails will also be given in the Indian model, which will make it look more practical.
Interior Features
Yamaha has taken special care of the needs of modern riders regarding the features. The bike will get smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, and a comfortable pillion seat. Also, a grab rail has also been given for safety, which is not present in the international model.
Engine & Performance
The heart of the Yamaha XSR 155 is its powerful engine. It will get the same 155cc liquid-cooled BS6 engine, which is given in the Yamaha R15 and MT-15. This engine generates 18.4 PS of power and 14 Nm of torque. Also, it has VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology, which makes the bike smooth and powerful even at high speed. The mileage of the bike will be around 45–50 kmpl; that is, a good balance of performance and efficiency will be available.
