Yamaha has finally confirmed the date of launching its neo-retro bike, the Yamaha XSR 155, in India. This bike will officially enter the market on 11 November 2025. The special thing is that the Indian variant will be slightly different from the international model, and special features will be added to it for Indian riders.

Price & Variants

Talking about the price, the ex-showroom price of the Yamaha XSR 155 is expected to be between ₹ 1.50 lakh and ₹ 1.65 lakh. At the same time, its on-road price can go up to around ₹ 1.90 lakh. The purpose of offering the Neo-Retro bike at affordable pricing is to attract the youth.

Exterior Design

In terms of design, the Yamaha XSR 155 gives a very retro-modern look. It has round LED headlamps and DRLs. LED taillights and indicators will also be available in the rear. The alloy wheels will be based on the design of the MT-15. There are USD forks at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear. Safety features like a saree guard and grab rail have also been added to the India variant.

Interior Features

Talking about the features, it is expected that the India variant will be given a TFT digital console. Apart from this, it will get a 10-liter fuel tank, an 810 mm seat height, and 170 mm ground clearance. The curb weight of the bike will be around 140 kg, which will make it light and easy to control.

Engine & Performance

The Yamaha XSR 155 will get a 155 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes with VVA technology. This engine will generate about 18.1 PS of power and 14.1 Nm of torque. It has a 6-speed gearbox and assist-and-slipper clutch. The special thing is that the engine of the Indian variant will be re-tuned for low-end torque so that the initial pickup is even better. The top speed will be around 125–130 km/h, and the mileage will also be similar to the MT-15.
